Red Cross Childrens Hospital

This is the first year that the foundation has started its annual tradition of donating teddy bears with trachies to all the kids at Red Cross Children’s Hospital(Cape Town) that have a tracheotomy.

We decided to make it an annual event in December as that is when Joshua 1st got his trachi.

Our aim is to have the teddy bears available at Red Cross, so that when a child is operated on and receives a tracheotomy he/she receives a “Pierre Robin Foundation” sponsored teddy bear.

By doing this we hope to create enough awareness for Pierre Robin Sequence/Syndrome but also letting the world know that it is in NO WAY TRAUMATIC FOR A CHILD TO RECEIVE A TRACHEOTOMY.

We bought the teddy bears our selves this year, but we are looking for someone who can sponsor us with approx 60 teddies a year.

We will be having little t-shirts made for the teddy bears, with the foundation's logo on the front, "proudly sponsored by..." on the back and the Red Cross Logo on the sleeves, and of course each teddy bear will receive his VERY OWN tracheotomy.

If you know of anyone or you your self are interested in sponsoring us with the teddies for our annual tradition, please can you contact me on: info@pierrerobin.org.za or +27 82 660 0575
